BSUMC's Leisure Ministry is one part of the church which seeks to serve all people to share the good news of Jesus Christ to the world. "I have become all things to all men that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings." 1 Corinthians 9:22-23

Mission Projects - Our players and coaches have demonstrated this season’s theme “In Jesus’ Name We Play” both on and off the court. Our teams have made a real difference out in the community through their mission projects. They have stocked shelves, made cards, and served dinner at Triune Mercy Center. They “adopted” families at Christmas, and went caroling at several nursing homes. They have tutored and made dinner for the children at the Frazee Dream Center. They sorted toys at the Salvation Army and cleared brush at Asbury Hills. Teams have volunteered with Pendleton Place, Hands on Greenville, Place of Hope, and Greenville Area Interfaith Hospitality Network. One of our youngest teams collected money for Haiti relief efforts. Wow! All our players have worked to make a difference in the lives of others. This is what it means to be the hands and feet of God!
The new season of "Up the Hill" Basketball has begun. This is an "in-house" league for men, with all games being played on Monday evenings at BSUMC. The fee is $50, and BSUMC members are encouraged to invite anyone looking for a church home to participate in this ministry. Click to email
