Teaching

This is a wonderful time in which to gather for the “apostles’ teaching, fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayers. This will certainly continue to be the case. The midweek meal will be served in Sisk Hall in what we hope will be a little easier to have conversations. We will eat together, pray together, perhaps sing together, and join in koinonia-a Greek term found 19 times in the New Testament. Koinonia is most often translated as fellowship, community /communion, or sharing. It first appears in Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” This fall we will stay around the tables following the meal and join in teaching, learning, fellowship, and holy conversation with “built-in” small groups (whoever you are sitting with around the table). These will be our Koinonia Tables.
